Equipping for Equality: Resourcing for those passionate about Justice, Dignity and Solidarity

Are you passionate about bringing about equality within the church?

Want to be resourced and equipped?

Are you in EDI group?

Thinking of being, or already an EDI officer?

Maybe you're on the JDS committee or an EDI lead in any Methodist setting?

In a solidarity circle?

Want to influence change in the Methodist Church?

Then join us for one of our ‘Equipping for Equality’ events

Aims:

  • Equip one another to implement the strategy for Justice, Dignity and Solidarity
  • Share our experiences in EDI roles within the Church
  • Inspire one another to bring transformative change to the Church

Equipping for Equality sessions offer the opportunity to:

  • Learn from one another's experiences
  • Improve our cultural literacy
  • Consider what it means to stand in solidarity with others
  • Develop our understanding of Equality Impact Assessments
  • Discuss the implementation of the Inclusive Language Guide
  • Enhance our skills in communications, social media and facilitating online gatherings
  • Consider how to support and resource people for the continual personal learning aspect of the mandatory EDI training

In summer 2024, we ran day-long hybrid ‘Equipping for Equality’ events in Lancaster and London.

We are now running a series of ‘Equipping for Equality’ online workshops.
